Challenge

Large areas of hardstanding have to carry service and delivery traffic, drain properly and stay usable for the occupier while sections are dug out and relaid.

Approach

Works are phased so access routes stay open, with ground levels and falls set out before excavation, drainage and kerb lines installed first, and sub-base compacted and tested before surfacing follows in continuous runs.

Result

A hard-wearing external works package with controlled falls, tidy kerb and channel detailing and consistent surfacing across car parking, service yards and pedestrian routes.
