Groundworks set the programme for everything above them: ground conditions, existing services and drainage connections all have to be resolved without delaying the superstructure.

Approach

Levels and setting out are agreed against the engineer’s drawings, excavation and muck-away are sequenced with deliveries, and reinforcement, shuttering and drainage runs are inspected before each concrete pour.

Result

Foundations, drainage and prepared ground handed over on level and on programme, ready for the frame and following packages to start without rework.
