Challenge
Replacing coverings over an occupied commercial building means large roof areas cannot be left open, access and material handling are restricted, and weather has to be planned for at every stage.
Approach
The roof is divided into bays so each area is stripped, deck-repaired and re-covered within the same working window, with temporary weathering in place, crane and scaffold lifts booked against the programme, and leadwork, flashings and rainwater goods detailed before sign-off.
Result
A fully re-covered, watertight roof with repaired decking, detailed perimeters and new rainwater goods, completed with the building below in continuous use.
